Trần Lưu Hậu

(1928-2020)

tiểu sử

Trần Lưu Hậu (1928-2020) graduated from Fine Art University in Resistance class (1950-1953), which was directly taught by Tô Ngọc Vân, then graduated from Moscow Academy of Fine Art in 1960. Being one of the examplatary painters of Vietnamese fine art throughout the 80s and 90s, Trần Lưu Hậu had contributed to both the technique and the perception of painting. Vibrant color palette, sharp pen lines, pure redress, whiteness and blueness intertwined naturally as it bursted off in the moment of ecstasy, as if being an accident, which only the Masters can pull off. Landscapes and things seem to be drawn in a flowing line, sometimes they burst into colors, blurring the shapes, making it unclear which is the landscape, which is the blissful color. His works make appearances in many exhibitions, museums and international auctions and important collections in Vietnam and many other countries around the world.
