biography

Đỗ Trọng Quý  (b. 1994, Hanoi) graduated from Hanoi College of Art, then pursued his training in painting at Vietnam University of Fine Arts, 57th class of 2020. Since his junior year, he has collaborated with Đông Phong Gallery. The early exposure to a practical environment in his years as a student helped cultivate Quý’s professional experience and lifestyle, extracted from artists of previous generations. Therefore, he understood his position and the art scene from a very young age. He soon formed a personal style and technique to best reflect himself, a young adult responsible to himself and his generation. Quý experiments with different materials and techniques throughout his practice. “One Endless Summer” (2021) at Mo Art Space was his first solo exhibition.
