biography
Nguyen Hoa (b.1978, Hue, Vietnam), holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sculpture from Hue College of Arts (2000-2005). Since 2012, Nguyen Hoa has found fulfillment as a freelance artist, specializing in painting, sculpture and woodcarving. Despite maintaining a low-key presence, Nguyen Hoa has contributed to many exhibitions, including Contemporary Art Week “Nổ cái bùm” in Hue, Vietnam (2020), group exhibitions in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and Chiang Mai, Thailand (2018), the notable Gallery 9's 25th-anniversary jubilee exhibition in Amsterdam (2014), "The Lost Images" at Ganesha Gallery, Netherland (2010) and various participations in national and international showcases. From 2009 to 2011, Nguyen Hoa played a crucial role as an educator and workshop facilitator at Hue College of Arts. His art delicately captures the nuanced interplay of history, nature, and the human experience, eliciting emotions from nostalgia to beauty. Nguyen Hoa is currently living and working in Hue.
